PURE Calendula & Dandelion Tallow Balm is a limited edition balm created from tallow infused with calendula and dandelion flowers, formulated specifically to celebrate our anniversary.
In the early days of our business, we developed a proprietary method of infusing herbs in tallow in order to extract and preserve the fat-soluble components of flowers and plants, similar to what our grandmother used to do. This resulted in an unusual combination of tallow with herbs traditionally used in skin care, which became the ideal recipe for this special occasion.
The uniqueness of the product also lies in the source of the ingredients - the tallow used in formulation this year comes exclusively from pasture raised, free-grazing limousin cattle (100% grass-fed) on an organic farm in the Beskid Niski region of Poland.
The result of this formulation is a traditional and versatile face and body balm, inspired by recipes used for generations. It has a natural, slightly floral scent and creamy colour, and has nourishing and soothing properties for our skin.
Flowers used for infusion, come from Polish harvests, exclusively from ecologically clean areas and are sustainably grown.
Calendula in traditional herbal medicine is known for its soothing, healing and regenerating properties, reducing inflammation and redness of the skin. Dandelion flowers, on the other hand, for their properties that improve the overall appearance of the skin, reducing acne lesions and adding a natural glow thanks to their antioxidant properties.
Memories of grandmothers preparing various skin ointments in their kitchens come flooding back. Our grandmother always used calendula flowers in her recipies.
